I'm Paige, the behind-the-scenes baker. I am a stay-at-home Mom to three amazing little boys, a self-taught baker, and a novice food photographer. My husband is my best friend and we've been together since high school. He is a software developer and the reason why I have this super cool website!
I've always had a passion for baking for as long as I can remember,
Even if it was with store-bought cake mixes and refrigerated cookie dough. But my love for baking from scratch was inspired by my grandmother, Nanny. Growing up, I'd spend countless hours with her baking in her kitchen. Every Christmas, I'd bake with her for hours. We'd bake all the good stuff that became Christmas traditions like pecan sandies, chocolate and peanut butter fudge, buckeyes, pies, cutout sugar cookies, etc. It became my favorite time of the year!
Over the years, I've kept up with my baking but after the birth of our first child, I developed an egg allergy. You'd be surprised how many foods contain egg, I know I was! It became really hard to eliminate all the foods I was used to eating. Try not having a cake on your own birthday! I decided there had to be a way to bake egg-free. This sparked my passion to bake for those with food allergies and dietary restrictions.
During the process of starting my baking blog, I decided (completely on the spot) to open a home bakery! I created and decorated cakes for all events including birthdays, baby showers, weddings, etc. I loved every minute of it and expanded my love for baking. My favorite part was being able to bake for those that couldn't normally eat cake or cupcakes. Because I know just what that feels like.
Finally, I knew that I wanted to not only use my home bakery to bake for those in my community but I wanted to start a food blog for those with food allergies and dietary restrictions. This blog is about creating recipes that are egg-free, dairy-free, gluten-free, and sugar-free.
I am here to show you just how easy it is to create desserts that everyone can enjoy. The best part, your friends and family won't even know the difference!
